Yadea will supply electric two-wheelers and related EV products, while Spiro will integrate the vehicles with its battery-swapping and energy ecosystem.
The companies will also co-develop electric two-wheeler platforms tailored to African road conditions and commercial applications.
Spiro’s Battery-Swapping Network Provides the Foundation
Spiro currently operates across seven African countries and has built a large electric motorcycle and battery-swapping ecosystem.

The model is particularly relevant for commercial riders, where reducing charging downtime can improve vehicle utilisation and operating efficiency.
Yadea Brings Global Manufacturing Scale
Yadea adds substantial manufacturing and R&D capabilities to the partnership. The company has sold more than 100 million electric two-wheelers across 100+ countries and operates a global retail network of over 40,000 stores.
The partnership comes as Spiro expands following its latest $270 million funding round, supporting its ambitions to scale electric mobility infrastructure across Africa.
