Rosmerta Digital Services Limited (RDSL) and the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) have signed an MoU to simplify vehicle compliance and help customers resolve pending traffic challans during vehicle sales and transfers.
Rosmart Platform Aims to Simplify Challan Resolution
The partnership was formalised at FADA’s 8th Auto Retail Conclave in New Delhi. As part of the initiative, RDSL has launched Rosmart, a digital compliance platform accessible through Rosmart.com.
The platform allows citizens and dealers to check pending traffic violations and access related compliance services, helping reduce delays during vehicle transactions.
Addressing Challan Issues in Used-Vehicle Transactions
Unresolved challans can become a major hurdle during vehicle ownership transfers, particularly in the pre-owned vehicle market. Vehicles can carry outstanding violations from multiple cities or states, making compliance checks more complicated.
Key benefits of Rosmart include:
- Digital access to pending traffic challan information
- Support for individual customers and automobile dealers
- Bulk case uploads for dealers
- QR-code access at participating dealerships
- Assistance in resolving compliance-related issues
- A more transparent channel for vehicle transactions
Focus on Safer Digital Compliance
RDSL and FADA also highlighted concerns around unauthorised websites and intermediaries offering challan-related services, which can expose consumers to fraud and cybercrime risks.
Rosmart is positioned as an official digital destination where customers can verify challan details and take necessary action through a more credible channel.
FADA Partnership to Expand Nationwide Reach
The MoU is expected to expand Rosmart’s availability through FADA’s extensive automotive retail network. Additional citizen-focused services and service providers are also expected to be added to the platform over time.
The initiative could make vehicle sales, exchanges and ownership transfers more convenient by addressing compliance issues earlier in the transaction process.
