Partnership Announcement and Objective

VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has partnered with Statiq, a leading EV charging provider. Announced on Tuesday, the collaboration aims to boost the adoption of electric trucks and buses in India. The goal is to make charging easier and more accessible for commercial fleet operators.

MyEicher App Integration for Smarter Charging

As part of the partnership, Statiq’s network of 8,000+ charging points across 65 cities will integrate into VECV’s MyEicher fleet management platform. This integration will help Eicher’s EV customers:

  • Find charging stations in real time
  • Get navigation assistance to charging points
  • View station availability and pricing
  • Manage charging directly within the MyEicher app

This user-friendly system simplifies route planning and daily operations for EV fleet managers.

Nationwide Charging Support and Services

Statiq will become VECV’s preferred partner for installing AC and DC chargers across India. Both companies will work together to identify high-traffic areas with sufficient infrastructure and parking for commercial EVs.

The partnership also includes:

  • End-to-end charging station projects with setup, operation, and maintenance
  • Joint customer support and service management through call centers
  • Ongoing maintenance services to ensure charger uptime and reliability

This full-service approach aims to make EV charging dependable and stress-free.

Promotional Offers and Customer Benefits

To encourage EV adoption, VECV and Statiq will introduce special incentives. These include promotional pricing and lower tariffs exclusively for Eicher commercial vehicle operators. By combining convenience with cost savings, the partnership helps remove key barriers to switching to electric vehicles.

Industry Momentum and Future Plans

India’s commercial vehicle sector is moving quickly toward electrification. This shift is fueled by government support, emissions regulations, and growing demand for cleaner logistics.

VECV, which exports trucks and buses to 40 countries, plans to expand its EV offerings with the help of Statiq’s infrastructure. Meanwhile, Statiq is scaling up to 20,000 charging points by 2025. The companies also plan to explore:

  • Shared infrastructure for partners
  • Mobile charging solutions
  • Revenue-sharing models for host sites

These strategies will help grow the network alongside the rising demand for commercial EVs.

Driving Clean Mobility Forward

By integrating charging directly into the MyEicher platform, VECV and Statiq are making EV operations smoother for fleet owners. The partnership supports India’s clean mobility goals by offering a reliable, affordable, and integrated charging solution for electric trucks and buses.
