Gabriel India Limited is strengthening its presence in next-generation automotive technology through a strategic joint venture with South Korea-based HL Klemove. The partnership involves Gabriel India acquiring a 30% stake in HL Klemove India for $98.44 million (around ₹935 crore).
A Major Push into Automotive Intelligence
The joint venture will focus on the development, manufacturing and sale of ADAS, autonomous driving technologies and automotive electronics in India.
Its technology portfolio will include:
- Radar and front-camera systems
- LiDAR and automated driving technologies
- Parking control units
- Embedded ADAS software
- Brake and steering ECUs
- Chassis control units and torque sensors
Notably, HL Klemove India has already localised production of ADAS radar and smart cameras, highlighting the growing capability to manufacture advanced vehicle technologies within India.
HL Klemove Brings Global Technology Expertise
HL Klemove contributes significant expertise across perception, decision-making and vehicle control. The company has more than 2,700 patents and reported approximately KRW 1.8 trillion in revenue in 2025.
The collaboration is expected to combine this global technology expertise with Gabriel India’s established automotive manufacturing and market presence.
