Open Charging Access Expands Across India
MobiLane Network has partnered with Ather Energy to expand open EV charging access in India. Earlier, many EV charging networks worked separately. However, this partnership allows riders to use shared charging systems.
Riders can now find chargers using either the Ather Grid or the MobiLane app. Because of this, users do not need multiple accounts. This makes charging easier and faster.
As a result, drivers can travel with less range anxiety.
Mission: Build a Shared Charging Ecosystem
The main mission is to create an open charging network. This network connects urban areas, highways, and commercial hubs.
Currently, MobiLane operates 250+ charging points across 40+ cities. The company plans to expand to 1,000+ chargers across 100+ cities in the next 12–18 months.
Because of this expansion, more EV users will gain easy access to charging stations.
Therefore, the system supports smoother long-distance travel.
Who Benefits From Open EV Charging
EV riders benefit first. They get easier access to charging stations. As a result, travel becomes more reliable.
OEM companies benefit as well. Open networks help improve charger usage and reduce costs. This supports better business growth.
Cities and fleet operators also benefit. Shared infrastructure helps speed up EV adoption across regions.
Overall, open EV charging helps the entire EV ecosystem grow faster.
