Ashok Leyland has entered into a strategic partnership with Nidec Motor Corporation to co-develop novel e-drive motors and electric drive systems for India’s commercial electric vehicle (EV) sector. Establishing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Electric Drive Units (EDUs)
As part of the agreement, Ashok Leyland and Nidec will establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the development of Electric Drive Units (EDUs). The CoE will focus on creating motor technologies, power electronics systems, and innovative gear-shifting mechanisms that enhance the efficiency and performance of electric vehicles.
