Eicher Trucks & Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), has launched Uptime NXT Services, an AI-powered service ecosystem designed to improve fleet productivity, vehicle uptime and operational efficiency. The platform combines artificial intelligence (AI), connected vehicle data and digital service tools to enhance vehicle monitoring and maintenance.

AI-Powered Technology to Reduce Vehicle Downtime

At the centre of the initiative is an AI-enabled Uptime Centre that connects customers, technicians, engineers and technical experts to coordinate service operations and deliver faster solutions.

Key features include:

  • Fuel advisory: Helps improve fuel efficiency and reduce operating expenses.
  • Driver scorecards: Provides insights into driving behaviour and performance.
  • Vehicle health monitoring: Supports diagnostics and proactive maintenance.
  • Uptime Control Tower: Monitors service delivery and improves operational visibility.
  • Service One: A generative AI-powered platform that assists technicians with diagnosis and workshop operations.

These tools aim to accelerate fault identification, improve repair accuracy and reduce repeat service interventions.

My Eicher App Connects Over 460,000 Vehicles

Eicher’s My Eicher app plays a significant role in its digital service ecosystem, offering live vehicle tracking, fuel management, trip monitoring, fleet performance insights, driver safety features and service support.

According to the company, the platform serves more than 200,000 customers and connects over 460,000 vehicles.

The new services build on Eicher’s centralised Uptime Centre, introduced in 2019, which has expanded to cover vehicle diagnostics, parts availability, service operations and product performance.

Focus on Fleet Efficiency and Customer Support

VECV expects Uptime NXT Services to improve coordination across its service network, enable faster diagnosis and increase first-time-right repairs. The initiative reflects the growing role of AI and connected technologies in commercial vehicle operations.

VECV is a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, with businesses spanning trucks, buses, engines and engineering solutions. With Uptime NXT, Eicher aims to deliver more proactive, data-driven support to commercial vehicle operators.
