Tata Power has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging network in Mumbai with the commissioning of a new Tata Power EZ Charge hub at New Mahakali Nagar in Malvani, Malad West. The facility is designed to support both private EV owners and fleet operators, with round-the-clock access and fast-charging capabilities.
New EV Charging Hub Gets Four Fast Chargers
The new charging hub features eight dedicated parking bays and four high-capacity chargers, comprising:
- One 120kW charger
- Three 60kW chargers, upgradeable to 120kW
- Auto-charging capability across all four chargers
- CCS2 fast-charging compatibility
The facility operates 24/7 and does not levy parking charges, making it accessible to EV users throughout the day.
Strategic Location Near Key Commercial Hubs
Located near Mindspace Business Park and Infinity Mall, the charging hub is positioned along the busy Malad West corridor. Tata Power said the location will cater to the area’s working population as well as commercial and fleet EV operators.
Users can locate the facility through the Tata Power EZ Charge app, which also provides real-time charger availability and digital payment options.
Tata Power Strengthens Maharashtra Charging Network
Following the addition of the new hub, Tata Power’s EZ Charge network now has more than 2,400 charging points across Maharashtra, including over 1,800 points in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
At the national level, the company said its network includes:
- More than 2.5 lakh home chargers
- Over 6,500 public and captive charging points
- More than 1,200 electric bus charging points
- Coverage across 700+ cities and towns
- More than 7 lakh registered customers
The latest Mumbai hub adds further fast-charging capacity to Tata Power’s growing EV infrastructure network.
