Everta Bets Big On India’s DC Charging Opportunity
India’s EV charging infrastructure market is entering a new growth phase, and Everta is positioning itself to be a significant player in the segment. The company has announced plans to capture 10–15% of India’s DC charging market over the next two years while preparing to begin commercial shipments of its charging solutions during the current fiscal year.
Backed by the Epsilon Group ecosystem, Everta is focusing on high-power charging infrastructure designed to support the growing requirements of commercial electric vehicles, fleet operators, and public charging networks.
Portfolio Focused On High-Power Charging
Everta’s initial product lineup includes:
- 120 kW DC chargers
- 180 kW DC chargers
- 240 kW DC chargers
- 320 kW DC chargers
The company has already commenced prototype production and is currently undergoing certification and validation processes, including approvals from ARAI.
The chargers are being targeted at:
- Charge Point Operators (CPOs)
- Bus fleet operators
- Truck fleet operators
- Logistics companies
- Commercial EV operators
Commercial Fleets Driving Demand
As electric buses, trucks, and logistics vehicles become more common, demand for reliable and high-power charging infrastructure is expected to rise significantly.
Everta believes fleet operators are increasingly prioritising charger uptime, reliability, and operational efficiency. The company is also working closely with vehicle manufacturers to ensure compatibility and optimise charging performance across different EV platforms.
Looking Beyond Conventional Charging
The company is exploring battery-backed charging solutions for locations where grid availability and power quality remain challenges.
Potential benefits include:
- Improved charger availability
- Reduced dependence on grid constraints
- Better integration of renewable energy
- Faster deployment in underserved locations
Preparing For The Next Phase Of EV Growth
Everta currently has manufacturing capacity for approximately 10,000–12,000 DC chargers annually and plans to expand further as demand grows.
With commercial vehicle electrification gaining momentum, the company believes high-power charging infrastructure will become a critical enabler of India’s next phase of EV adoption.
