Kinetic Engineering has announced an additional investment of approximately Rs 57 crore to strengthen its manufacturing operations and accelerate the expansion of its electric mobility business.
The investment comes as the company looks to capitalise on growing opportunities in both automotive components and electric two-wheelers.
Rs 500 Crore Export Orders from Europe and Mexico
Around Rs 17 crore of the investment will be used for manufacturing capital expenditure to support newly acquired driveline export contracts.
The long-term contracts with customers in Europe and Mexico have a combined value of approximately Rs 500 crore, with deliveries planned over a seven-year period.
This investment is expected to help Kinetic expand its manufacturing capacity and meet the requirements of these international programmes.
Rs 40 Crore for Kinetic’s EV Business
The remaining Rs 40 crore will be invested in Kinetic’s electric mobility subsidiary, Kinetic Watts and Volts.
The funds will support:
- Electric two-wheeler product development
- Supply-chain expansion
- Retail network development
- Sales and service infrastructure
Kinetic recently launched the electric versions of the Kinetic DX and DX+ scooters as part of its EV strategy.
Expanding EV Retail Network
The company has signed Letters of Intent with more than 150 dealers across India. More than 60 touchpoints are already operational, offering integrated sales, service and spare-parts facilities.
According to Kinetic Engineering Vice Chairman and Managing Director Ajinkya Firodia, the company is focusing on investments in capacity, technology and retail infrastructure to scale both its automotive components and electric mobility businesses.
With fresh capital being directed toward exports and EV expansion, Kinetic Engineering is positioning itself for its next phase of growth in India’s electric mobility market.
