Ather Energy Limited has appointed Anjani Kumar as its new Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO), signaling a major step in strengthening the company’s digital backbone and accelerating technology-driven growth. In this role, Kumar will be responsible for shaping Ather’s digital strategy, overseeing the development of digital platforms and products, and enhancing IT infrastructure—including cybersecurity and data-driven capabilities—across product development, manufacturing, and customer experience.

Anjani Kumar brings over 24 years of experience in digital transformation and IT innovation. He has held senior leadership positions at several Fortune 500 companies, including:

- Strides Pharma
- Tata AIG
His cross-sector expertise in automotive, technology, logistics, pharmaceuticals, and BFSI will be instrumental as Ather scales up its operations and product portfolio.

In his new capacity, Kumar will oversee teams across WebTech, IT & Security, MES, Business Intelligence, and Digital Engineering. By bringing all digital functions under a single leadership role, Ather aims to build a unified digital thread throughout the organization, simplifying and strengthening its digital infrastructure as it expands with new products, business models, and deeper software integration.
