Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has partnered with US-based battery software company Electra AI to strengthen battery monitoring and performance intelligence across its electric vehicle portfolio.

AI-Powered Battery Intelligence for EVs

Under the partnership, Electra AI will deploy its “AI Brain for Batteries” platform across OSM’s electric three-wheelers and commercial EVs. The technology is designed to deliver:

  • Real-time battery monitoring
  • Predictive battery performance analysis
  • State of Health (SoH) insights
  • Remaining Useful Life (RUL) estimates
  • Data-driven battery utilisation

The platform could help OSM identify battery issues earlier, optimise maintenance and improve fleet uptime.

Battery Health Could Reshape the Used EV Market

While the technology offers operational benefits, its larger impact could be felt in the used electric vehicle market. Battery condition is one of the biggest uncertainties when evaluating a pre-owned EV.

Reliable battery health data could provide buyers and fleet operators with greater confidence while also helping financiers assess the underlying value of an electric vehicle.

For OSM, the data could also support better warranty decisions, product development and predictive maintenance strategies.

Building Trust Around EV Battery Value

A transparent assessment of battery health could eventually become an important factor in determining an EV’s resale value. It could also make financing and asset management more data-driven.

OSM Chairman Dr Uday Narang has emphasised the importance of battery health information in developing a credible secondary EV market.

Data as the Next EV Infrastructure Layer

As electric mobility matures, battery intelligence could become as important as the odometer when buying, selling or financing an EV. A trusted battery health score could bring greater transparency to EV ownership and help turn battery data into a measurable asset.
