Refined Styling with New Visual Elements
Volvo has launched the 2025 XC60 facelift in India at a starting price of ₹71.90 lakh (ex-showroom), a hike of ₹1.15 lakh over the outgoing model. The familiar silhouette is retained, but the facelift brings several subtle yet impactful design updates. The front gains a redesigned diagonal-slat grille, sharper “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlights with Active Bending, and a reprofiled bumper with revised air intakes. The SUV now rides on fresh 19-inch alloy wheels and adds a new “Forest Lake” shade to its colour palette, joining options like Crystal White, Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Bright Dusk, and Vapour Grey. At the rear, smoked-effect LED tail lamps offer a more sophisticated touch, with some tweaks being specific to the India-spec model.
Upgraded Cabin with Enhanced Technology
Inside, the XC60 facelift makes notable strides in tech and comfort. The standout update is a new 11.2-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, running a Google-based interface with integrated apps and wireless Apple CarPlay. The cabin also features a revised steering wheel with Volvo’s updated iron mark logo, genuine wood inlays, and a fresh “Blond” interior theme for an airy ambience. Premium amenities include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, ventilated and heated front seats with massage function, wireless charging, 4-zone climate control with PM2.5 filtration, a panoramic sunroof, improved storage, and an upgraded 360-degree camera with split-screen capability.
Safety Technology at the Core
In line with Volvo’s reputation, the facelifted XC60 continues to prioritise safety with 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, and a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS package. Key features include Adaptive Cruise Control with Pilot Assist, Lane Keeping Aid, Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert & Brake Support, and Collision Mitigation Support at both ends. The SUV also comes equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring system, blind spot monitor, and a complete set of parking sensors and cameras, ensuring all-round protection and driver confidence.
Proven Powertrain and Competitive Positioning
The facelift retains its proven 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic and standard all-wheel drive. Delivering 247 bhp and 360 Nm of torque, it is assisted by a 48V mild-hybrid system that boosts efficiency and responsiveness, with a claimed mileage of 12.9 km/l. Positioned in the luxury mid-size SUV segment, the updated XC60 competes against the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, and Lexus NX. By combining refined design, advanced technology, premium comfort, and Volvo’s hallmark safety, the facelift strengthens its appeal while continuing a global success story of over 2.7 million units sold.
