Tata Harrier EV Launches with Power and Prestige
Tata Motors, India’s top EV automaker by volume, has officially unveiled the Harrier EV at ₹21.49 lakh ($25,800). This bold release strengthens Tata’s position in the premium electric SUV segment.
The Harrier EV comes packed with standout specs: a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, up to 647 km range, luxury interiors, and high-end technology.
Performance Built to Impress
The Harrier EV delivers 396 PS (294 kW) of power and 504 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. Two battery options are available—65 kWh and 75 kWh.
With ultra-fast charging, the 75 kWh pack offers 250 km of range in just 15 minutes. Tata also offers a lifetime battery warranty, a first in India.
Designed for Tech-Loving Drivers
Inside, the Harrier EV debuts a 14.5-inch Harman Cinematic screen powered by Samsung Neo QLED. It pairs with a JBL 10-speaker system and Dolby Atmos for a premium in-cabin experience.
Other standout features include:
- Hands-free Digi Access with Ultra Wide Band
- Auto Park Assist and Summon Mode
- 540° Surround View with Transparent Mode for off-road visibility
Positioned for the Premium Market
The Harrier EV will compete with Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra XUV.e9, and upcoming models like Maruti Suzuki eVX and Kia Carens Clavis EV.
Tata aims to dominate the premium EV bracket by offering luxury and performance at a mass-affluent price point. With over 70% share in India’s EV market already, this model could push its lead even further.
Focus on Safety and Versatility
Safety features include ADAS Level 2 with blind spot detection, hill descent control, and autonomous reverse parking. For off-road and varied terrains, drivers can switch between six modes: Normal, Grass/Snow, Mud/Gravel, Sand, Rock Crawl, and Custom.
Performance modes like Boost and Drift offer added fun for enthusiasts.
Comfort for the Connected Lifestyle
The Harrier EV isn’t just built for speed—it’s also a comfort-first SUV. It includes:
- Power BOSS mode for extra rear legroom
- Ventilated front seats and memory function
- Voice-assisted panoramic sunroof
- A boot space of 502 litres (expandable to 999 litres)
- Digital keys via iPhone, Apple Watch, and Android devices
Redefining EV Ownership in India
Tata Motors is tackling common EV concerns—range, performance, and cost of ownership—head-on. With top-tier specs and strong brand trust, the Harrier EV aims to reshape what buyers expect from an electric SUV.
As Tata’s Managing Director Shailesh Chandra puts it, “This isn’t just a model—it’s a statement.”
