Rajasthan is gearing up to supercharge its electric vehicle (EV) market with a game-changing ₹200 crore subsidy program. The state government is set to launch a dedicated portal next month, making it easier than ever for EV owners to claim their share of the green mobility pie.
Digital Gateway to Green Mobility
The new portal, developed by NIC and currently in final testing, will streamline the subsidy application process. EV owners can look forward to a user-friendly interface featuring vehicle listings from manufacturers and dealers, allowing for seamless subsidy claims.
Breaking Down the Subsidy Breakdown
The program offers a range of incentives tailored to different vehicle types:
- Two-wheelers: Up to ₹10,000 for fixed batteries, ₹5,000 for swappable ones
- Three-wheelers: Maximum ₹20,000 for fixed batteries, ₹10,000 for swappable options
- Four-wheelers: Up to ₹50,000 for vehicles priced under ₹20 lakhs ex-showroom
- Retrofit kits: 15% of cost, capped at ₹10,000 for three-wheelers and ₹15,000 for four-wheelers
Claiming Your Green Bonus
Eligible EV owners can follow a simple process to claim their subsidy:
- Enter vehicle details on the portal
- Verify identity via OTP
- Upload bank information and supporting documents
- Submit for approval
