Players & Partnership in Infra Race

Greaves Electric Mobility

India’s electric vehicle revolution is no longer a distant dream—it’s unfolding on city streets, highways, and even in small towns across the nation. Just a few years ago, “range anxiety” kept many would-be EV owners hesitant, but today, innovative companies and strategic partnerships are transforming the landscape with thousands of charging stations and cutting-edge digital solutions. As India races toward sustainable mobility, these charging networks are powering not just vehicles but an entire nationwide transformation in how we move and commute.

Tata Power EZ Charge, launched in 2019, is India’s largest and fastest-growing EV charging network, with over 40,000 home chargers, 4,000+ public/semi-public points, and 250 bus-charging stations across 550 cities as of June 2025. The RFID-enabled EZ CHARGE card, introduced in April 2025, streamlines charging and payments, especially in low-connectivity areas. The “Open Collaboration 2.0” framework (2023) accelerates expansion via partnerships, targeting 400,000 charge points by 2027. Recent rollouts include TATA.ev Mega Chargers and Verified Chargers, enhancing speed and reliability, supporting India’s shift to sustainable mobility.

Ather Grid, launched by Ather Energy in 2018, is India’s pioneering fast-charging network for electric two-wheelers, offering up to 15 km range in 10 minutes at 2,500+ stations nationwide (April 2025). The network’s transparent pricing and real-time app access ensure user convenience. Key partnerships—such as with Hero MotoCorp for interoperable charging and Infineon Technologies for safety innovations—have expanded its reach and reliability. Ather Grid’s focus on speed, reliability, and collaboration has made it instrumental in driving two-wheeler EV adoption across Indian cities.
