The consolidation aims to improve coordination, strengthen technical expertise and enhance customer value through closer collaboration with retail partners.
Initial Focus on Nordic Markets
Volvo Mining will initially focus on customers and contractors in Sweden, Norway and Finland. The company plans to expand into additional international markets over time, depending on its business development strategy.
The dedicated structure is expected to help Volvo Group respond more effectively to the mining industry’s evolving requirements, including demand for advanced machinery, automation and efficient operations.

Melker Jernberg, President of Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE), said mining has been an important part of the group’s business for decades. However, the industry’s increasing strategic importance requires greater attention and coordinated capabilities.
