Tejas Cargo Deploys Blue Energy Electric Truck for Dalmia Cement

Tejas Cargo India Limited has deployed a Blue Energy Motors electric heavy-duty truck for Dalmia Cement’s cement transportation operations in Raniganj, West Bengal. The deployment brings together Dalmia Cement, Tejas Cargo and Blue Energy Motors as electric trucks gain traction in India’s industrial freight sector.

Electric Truck Enters Cement Logistics Operations

The electric heavy-duty truck will be operated by Tejas Cargo to support Dalmia Cement’s logistics requirements. The companies said the deployment is aimed at reducing transportation-related emissions while demonstrating the potential of electric trucks in commercial freight applications.

Freight transportation contributes significantly to companies’ Scope 3 emissions, making logistics an increasingly important area for businesses working towards lower-carbon operations.

Focus on Sustainable Heavy-Duty Freight

Tejas Cargo CMD Chander Bindal said sustainable transportation is expected to become a larger part of freight operations, with the electric truck deployed for Dalmia Cement’s logistics requirements.

Blue Energy Motors’ Growing Green Fleet

Blue Energy Motors said more than 1,400 green heavy-duty trucks are currently operating across key freight corridors in India. These vehicles have collectively covered over 122 million km and contributed to a reported reduction of more than 33,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

The company manufactures electric and LNG heavy-duty trucks and combines vehicle technology with energy-as-a-service and maintenance support.
