CHARGEZONE has secured long-term EV charging energy contracts worth more than $1 billion (around ₹10,500 crore), supporting its plans to deploy 1,000 new supercharging stations across key national highway corridors.
The contracts cover intercity electric buses, trucks and commercial car fleets, giving CHARGEZONE greater visibility into future charging demand and station utilisation.
1,000 New Supercharging Stations Planned
The company plans to add 1,000 charging stations designed to serve predictable commercial EV routes. CHARGEZONE expects the new network to support more than 15,000 EVs daily.
Key expansion targets include:
- 1,000 new supercharging stations
- 180MW additional charging capacity
- Network capacity rising from 120MW to 300MW
- Around 700GWh annual energy delivery at full deployment
- More than 15,000 charging sessions per day
- Network utilisation expected to rise from 14% to around 30%
Fleet Contracts Drive Charging Infrastructure Expansion
Unlike charging networks built primarily on projected EV traffic, CHARGEZONE said its next phase is being driven by contracted fleet demand.
Electric buses and trucks typically operate on predictable routes and require significant amounts of energy, allowing the company to identify charging requirements before investing in infrastructure.
CHARGEZONE Raises $25 Million for Expansion
CHARGEZONE has secured $25 million (₹250 crore) in debt financing from Indian banks and plans to raise another $100 million during 2026-27.
The funding will support:
- New supercharging stations
- Micro-grid infrastructure
- Energy-management technology
- Solar power integration
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
The company currently operates more than 15,000 charging points across over 1,200 locations in India and the UAE.
