Unprecedented global turnout highlights India’s energy leadership

The 4th edition of India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 formally opened in Goa, bringing together energy leaders from across the world in what organisers describe as the largest edition to date. The annual forum has attracted more than 75,000 delegates from over 120 countries, along with 700+ exhibiting companies, 550+ global speakers and over 110 strategic and technical sessions. This level of participation underscores the event’s evolution into a key global platform for energy dialogue.

Global policymakers and industry heavyweights, including ministers from countries such as UAE, Canada and the Netherlands, are participating, reflecting the event’s stature in international energy engagement. The conference’s broad agenda encompasses energy security, investment priorities, innovation, and practical decarbonisation pathways, aligning with India’s strategic energy goals. Events like the India-Arab Energy Dialogue and thematic zones on hydrogen, biofuels, and sustainable aviation fuels highlight sector diversity.

Comprehensive agenda spanning energy transition priorities

India Energy Week 2026 features multiple sector-specific dialogues alongside broader strategic engagements. Sessions explore emerging technologies, digitalisation and AI in energy systems, LNG ecosystems, renewable energy scalability, and net-zero solutions. With 11 thematic zones and country pavilions, the event fosters cross-border collaboration on both policy and commercial fronts. Organisers anticipate major agreements and partnerships to be discussed during the week.

Besides conference panels, the event includes startup challenges and knowledge exchanges aimed at promoting innovation. Initiatives like Avinya 3.0 and Vasudha 3.0 bring global participation into the fold, reinforcing connections between established players and emerging innovators. IEW’s scale and agenda make it not just a forum for discussion but a marketplace for energy investment and strategy shaping.

India Energy Week 2026 continues through the 27th to 30th of January, offering an extensive platform for partnerships, insight sharing, and deal-making that could influence global energy trajectories in the near future.
