Hero MotoCorp’s EV Brand Highlights Removable Battery Technology to Boost Adoption

VIDA, Powered by Hero, has rolled out a high-impact advertising campaign titled ‘Charging Simple Hai’, aimed at making electric vehicle (EV) adoption easier and more accessible for Indian consumers. Launched during the IPL 2025 season, the campaign spotlights VIDA’s removable battery technology, which allows users to charge their electric scooter batteries from any standard 5-amp household socket.

This initiative is part of Hero MotoCorp’s broader push to demystify electric mobility and encourage adoption across urban India by eliminating charging-related anxieties.

Removable Battery for Everyday Convenience

The campaign’s television commercial shows a group of friends discussing the challenges of EV charging. One of them surprises the rest by demonstrating how easily VIDA’s battery can be removed and charged using a regular power outlet. This relatable situation is supported by the campaign tagline:
“Impossible nahi, simple hai” (It’s not impossible, it’s simple), and the message that “Every plug point is a VIDA charging point.”

To maximize visibility, the campaign is being promoted not only on TV during IPL matches but also across major digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), along with VIDA’s owned media channels.

Solving a Key EV Challenge in India

Charging infrastructure remains a critical hurdle in the growth of India’s EV market, particularly in cities where space and dedicated charging stations are limited. VIDA’s removable battery tech directly tackles this issue by giving users the freedom to charge their scooters at home, offices, or anywhere with a plug point—no special setup needed.

This innovation is especially useful for urban residents in apartments or rented spaces, where installing a personal EV charger is often impractical.
