Major EV charging infrastructure milestone in Gautam Buddh Nagar

Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL) has inaugurated the largest electric vehicle (EV) charging plaza in Greater Noida, strengthening the region’s EV support ecosystem and promoting cleaner mobility solutions. Situated at Tilpata along the 130-metre road, the facility was opened by Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar and developed in collaboration with Servotech (Incharz), an EV charging infrastructure partner. The plaza is designed to support high-capacity charging needs and accommodate a growing base of EV users across personal and commercial segments.

The plaza houses two high-speed charging points and four charging guns with 120 kW and 60 kW capacities, enabling compatible four-wheelers to recharge fully within approximately 45 minutes to an hour. This fast-charging capability dramatically reduces downtime for EV drivers and enhances the convenience of long-distance and intra-city travel. The facility also includes slower charging options tailored to two-wheelers and three-wheelers, making it versatile for diverse EV classes. Additionally, NPCL plans to introduce battery swapping services in the future to further expand its offerings.

Serving communities and expanding network footprint

NPCL’s new charging plaza is expected to benefit users across residential communities, industrial areas and commercial zones in Greater Noida. The initiative aligns with broader regional efforts to develop robust EV infrastructure as adoption increases. NPCL has already installed multiple charging stations at key locations such as Expo Mart and Knowledge Park sectors, and has extended services to residential societies, including installations in Gaur City 7th Avenue and Ace Divino. Work is underway to expand this network further, demonstrating a commitment to accessible charging solutions for daily commuters and multi-modal EV users.

By deploying fast-charging plazas and integrating slower charging points across urban communities, NPCL is helping to reduce range anxiety and support the transition to electric mobility in the National Capital Region (NCR). As EV uptake rises, such infrastructure developments are critical to sustaining growth, improving convenience and advancing environmental goals through reduced emissions.
