High-Performance Electric Three-Wheeler for Cargo
Montra Electric, the clean mobility brand of the Murugappa Group, has launched the SUPER CARGO electric three-wheeler in Bengaluru, targeting the last-mile cargo delivery segment. Priced from ₹4.37 lakh (ex-showroom, post-subsidy), the SUPER CARGO boasts a certified range of over 200 km and a real-world range of 170 km, powered by a 13.8 kWh lithium-ion battery.
Power, Payload, and Safety
Delivering 11 kW peak power and 70 Nm torque, the SUPER CARGO offers a 1.2-tonne gross vehicle weight and 23% gradeability, making it ideal for urban logistics. Its Boron Steel Chassis and the longest wheelbase in its class ensure stability and durability. Safety features include front disc brakes, hill hold, reverse assist, seat belts, and regenerative braking, with multiple drive modes for enhanced operational efficiency.
Fast Charging and Versatile Configurations
A standout feature is the 15-minute 100% rapid charging capability, available on select variants through a partnership with Exponent Energy. The SUPER CARGO is offered in three cargo body variants—Tray eCX, 140 cu.ft eCX d, and 170 cu.ft eCX d+—with two additional quick-charging variants. Color options include Chilli Red, Steel Grey, Indian Blue, and Stallion Brown.
Backed by Industry Leaders
At the launch, Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director of TI Clean Mobility, emphasized Montra Electric’s commitment to powering India’s mobility shift towards sustainability. Roy Kurian, Business Head, highlighted the model’s customer-centric engineering and nationwide dealer support, while Arun Vinayak, Co-Founder of Exponent Energy, noted the partnership’s role in expanding India’s rapid charging network.
Expanding Footprint and Future Plans

With a 5-year or 1.75 lakh km battery warranty and robust after-sales support, Montra Electric is poised to redefine last-mile delivery solutions. The company, part of the 124-year-old Murugappa Group, is also preparing to begin exports and further expand its EV portfolio across commercial vehicle segments.
