K-Charge Platform: Seamless Charging for a Growing EV Nation
Kia India has launched a comprehensive EV ecosystem anchored by the new K-Charge platform, providing access to over 11,000 charging points across the country. Integrated into the MyKia app, K-Charge connects users to charging stations in both urban and highway locations, thanks to partnerships with 18 leading charge point operators. This move comes just ahead of the much-anticipated launch of the Carens Clavis EV on July 15, 2025.
Digital Convenience: Route Planning and Unified Payments
With the K-Charge platform, customers can easily:
Locate nearby charging stations
Check real-time slot availability
Plan routes for both city and long-distance travel
Make payments directly through the MyKia app
This unified digital experience eliminates the hassle of juggling multiple third-party apps, making EV ownership more convenient and accessible.
Expanding Network: 20,000 Charging Points by 2026
Kia India’s vision extends beyond the current network, with plans to expand to over 20,000 charging points by mid-2026. The company has also established over 250 EV-ready workshops nationwide, equipped with specialized tools and trained technicians to support EV customers. More than 100 Kia dealerships now feature DC fast chargers ranging from 60kW to 240kW, ensuring quick and reliable charging during service visits.
Home Charging and Customer Support
For home users, Kia offers AC charging solutions with 7.4kW and 11kW chargers, enabling convenient overnight charging. This robust infrastructure is designed to support the upcoming Carens Clavis EV and future models, making Kia a frontrunner in India’s mass-market electric mobility segment.
Setting the Stage for the Carens Clavis EV
The Carens Clavis EV will be Kia’s first locally manufactured electric car, joining the premium EV6 and EV9 in the brand’s Indian lineup. With this ecosystem, Kia aims to deliver a frictionless, reliable, and future-ready EV ownership experience for Indian consumers.
