New Retail Format to Boost EV Accessibility
Exponent Energy has inaugurated its first retail store for electric three-wheelers in Bengaluru, marking a significant expansion of its on-ground presence in India’s commercial EV market. The new outlet brings Exponent’s rapid-charging ecosystem directly to fleet owners, drivers, and small businesses who depend on reliable last-mile mobility.
The store is designed as a one-stop platform offering vehicle demonstrations, technical consultations, after-sales support, and finance options. With the three-wheeler segment emerging as India’s fastest-growing EV category, Exponent aims to shorten adoption cycles by giving customers access to both products and charging solutions under one roof.
Enabling 15-Minute Rapid Charging for Commercial EVs
A key highlight of the retail initiative is Exponent’s proprietary rapid-charging technology, capable of charging compatible electric three-wheelers from 0–80% in just 15 minutes. This capability significantly improves daily vehicle utilisation, enabling fleet operators to complete more trips per day while reducing downtime.
The company’s charging ecosystem—built around its e^pump charging stations and e^pack battery systems—creates a tightly integrated model optimised for high-cycle commercial use. By making this technology accessible through retail, Exponent aims to influence large-scale electrification in urban logistics and delivery operations.
Strengthening Presence in India’s Commercial EV Market
Bengaluru has been chosen as the first retail location due to its high EV penetration and strong last-mile delivery demand. Exponent Energy plans to replicate this retail format across other metropolitan cities, building a nationwide footprint to support the growing EV three-wheeler customer base.
The company believes that expanding into consumer-facing retail will accelerate adoption, reduce operational uncertainty for drivers, and build confidence around the rapid-charging model. With India’s three-wheeler electrification expected to grow rapidly over the next five years, Exponent’s retail strategy positions it as a key enabler of efficient and scalable mobility solutions.
