Ather Energy has partnered with Google to provide real-time information on the availability of fast-charging stations for electric two-wheelers
In a groundbreaking collaboration, Ather Energy has partnered with Google to provide real-time information on the availability of fast-charging stations for electric two-wheelers. This initiative aims to enhance the convenience of charging and promote the broader adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in India.
Real-Time Charging Information
Users can now locate ‘Ather Grid’ fast chargers on Google Maps, complete with live status updates. As of March 30, 2024, Ather Energy has installed 1,973 fast chargers across India. These chargers, compatible with the Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS), will appear in searches for ‘EV charger near me’ or ‘charging stations’ on Google Maps.
Significance of the Partnership
This partnership is a significant step towards building a robust EV infrastructure in India, supporting the country’s transition to sustainable transportation. The collaboration between Ather Energy and Google is expected to address one of the major pain points for EV users —finding available charging stations.
By integrating real-time data into Google Maps, Ather Energy aims to provide a seamless and efficient charging experience for its users. This move is likely to boost consumer confidence in EVs and accelerate their adoption in the Indian market.
