Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd. (KWV) has announced a strategic technology partnership with Jio Things Limited, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms, to integrate advanced connected vehicle technologies across all its upcoming electric two-wheeler models. The collaboration aims to introduce voice-assisted controls, smart digital instrument clusters, and IoT-enabled connectivity to enhance everyday electric mobility in India.

KWV, the electric mobility arm of Kinetic Engineering Ltd., was established in 2022 and operates an 87,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. The company is positioning connected technology as a core feature of its EV offerings rather than a premium add-on.

Voice assistance and smart digital clusters for everyday riders

As part of the partnership, upcoming Kinetic EVs will feature voice-enabled vehicle interaction, allowing riders to access functions hands-free. Smart digital instrument clusters will provide real-time vehicle data, including performance metrics and system alerts, improving usability and rider awareness.

The integration also includes enhanced infotainment applications designed to simplify ownership and daily use. According to KWV, these features align with its “Easy” philosophy, which focuses on intuitive design and practical mobility solutions for mass-market users.

IoT platform enables diagnostics, telematics, and fleet analytics

Jio Things will provide its unified IoT ecosystem, covering edge devices, network connectivity, cloud infrastructure, and remote device management. The platform supports connected mobility features such as performance monitoring, predictive diagnostics, and telematics-enabled insights.

For fleet operators, the cloud-based analytics system enables centralized monitoring, usage tracking, and operational efficiency improvements. Jio Things will also support installation services and aftermarket solutions, ensuring scalability across KWV’s EV portfolio.

Strengthening India’s connected two-wheeler EV ecosystem

The partnership reflects a broader industry shift toward software-defined vehicles and data-driven mobility. By embedding connected technologies at the platform level, KWV aims to make smart EV features accessible to a wider consumer base.

Kinetic Engineering Ltd., the flagship company of the Kinetic Group, brings over five decades of automotive manufacturing experience, supplying components to major OEMs including Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, and Renault. The collaboration with Jio Things further strengthens the group’s transition into connected electric mobility.
