Kinetic Green launches E-Luna Prime electric two-wheeler at ₹82,490

Greaves Electric Mobility

Expanding into commuter segment

Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions has launched the E-Luna Prime, targeting India’s commuter motorcycle users. The two-wheeler is available in two variants, offering ranges of 110 km and 140 km, with an ex-showroom price of ₹82,490. The vehicle is designed for daily commuting and light cargo use, featuring 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamp, digital cluster, tubeless tyres, and front-loading space.

Cost-effective and efficient ownership

The E-Luna Prime is estimated to have a monthly cost of ₹2,500, including EMI and running expenses, significantly lower than traditional ICE motorcycles which cost around ₹7,500 per month. The energy cost works out to approximately 10 paise per kilometre, potentially saving users ₹60,000 annually. The model targets individuals seeking affordable, low-maintenance alternatives in urban commuting and small-scale business transport.

Network and growth strategy

Kinetic Green operates through 300+ dealerships across India and recently raised $25 million Series A funding from UK-based Greater Pacific Capital. The launch builds on its existing E-Luna platform, which has sold over 25,000 units. Additionally, the company has a joint venture with Tonino Lamborghini for electric golf and lifestyle carts at its Pune facility, demonstrating its broader ambitions in EV mobility solutions.
