Zypp Electric, India’s leading EV-as-a-service platform, has recorded a strong 50% year-on-year revenue growth. Earnings rose from ₹302 crore in FY’24 to approximately ₹455 crore in FY’25. Along with strong financials, the company reached major operational milestones and expects to achieve profitability within the next one to two quarters.
Record-Breaking Deliveries and Carbon Savings
In FY’25, Zypp Electric completed 100 million deliveries since its launch. Quick commerce deliveries made up 47% of the total, up from 30% the previous year. This growth shows Zypp’s increasing role in the booming quick commerce sector.
The company also made a major environmental impact. Zypp helped avoid 45 million kilograms of carbon emissions during the fiscal year by replacing traditional delivery vehicles with electric options.
Growing Fleet and Expanding Reach
Zypp Electric continued to grow across major Indian cities:
- Delhi NCR: Fleet expanded by 16%, now with over 12,000 active vehicles.
- Bangalore: Operations grew by 31%, deploying more than 5,000 vehicles.
- Mumbai: A new market for Zypp, now with 2,400 active vehicles.
The company also supported over 120,000 gig delivery partners through its daily EV rental model. This service includes battery swapping and on-ground technician support to maintain high fleet uptime.
Focus on Technology and New Revenue Streams
Rather than chasing aggressive growth, Zypp focused on building a sustainable, tech-driven business in FY’25. Key initiatives included:
- Launch of a proprietary SaaS fleet management platform to improve operational control.
- Introduction of Zypp Advertising Services to create a new revenue source by leveraging its EV fleet.
- Stronger partnerships with EV makers, battery-swapping companies, and fintech leasing firms to ensure smooth operations and steady vehicle supply.
“Our focus this year was not just on scaling but on setting a strong foundation for a sustainable and profitable EV business,” said Akash Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of Zypp Electric.
Positioned for a Sustainable Future
Founded in 2017, Zypp Electric operates a fleet of over 22,000 EVs today. It serves industries such as grocery, medicine, food delivery, and e-commerce logistics.
With India’s EV market growing rapidly, boosted by government support and rising eco-consciousness, Zypp’s strategy of balancing growth with profitability positions it for continued success.
As demand for quick commerce and last-mile delivery accelerates, Zypp Electric is ready to meet the need for fast, clean, and efficient logistics solutions across India’s urban centers.
