Simple Energy has announced the appointment of Jitin Johnson as Head of Marketing and Kevin Thomas as Head of Brand. Johnson brings 14 years of digital marketing experience and will lead omnichannel brand development, go-to-market strategies and customer engagement. Thomas brings over 13 years of creative and design expertise, having worked at Ultraviolette Automotive, Amazon, Motorola and OnePlus.
These leadership hires strengthen the company’s ability to build a rider-centric brand across India’s growing EV ecosystem.
Expanding Team and Retail Ambitions
Alongside these appointments, Simple Energy has expanded its marketing team to more than 40 professionals, signalling preparedness for rapid growth. The company plans to establish 150 retail stores and 200 service centres across India by March 2026, reinforcing its scale-out strategy.
This expansion underlines the importance of service and brand presence in making electric mobility accessible and aspirational.
Positioning for Market Growth in India’s EV Two-Wheeler Segment
Simple Energy currently operates 61 retail outlets across key cities such as Bengaluru, Goa, Hyderabad, Chennai and Jaipur, and is preparing to expand into markets like Delhi and Patna.
The company also stands out for introducing heavy rare-earth-free motors and launching an 8-year motor warranty, elements that reinforce its technology and service credentials as it scales.
