New Delhi, April 23, 2025 – In a notable stride toward India’s clean energy transition, Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd. (NSE: SERVOTECH) has announced a significant contract win from the Waltair Division of East Coast Railway. The company will execute a 4.1 megawatt (MW) rooftop solar project across various sites in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, with the total project valued at ₹15.8 crore.

The scope of the project includes design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of rooftop on-grid solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. These installations will span multiple railway facilities under the Waltair Division and contribute to Indian Railways’ broader ambition to integrate renewable energy into its infrastructure and minimize its carbon footprint.

This initiative is aligned with the Indian Railways’ strategic push to become a net-zero carbon emitter by 2030 and reinforce its global reputation as a sustainability-focused transport network. Once completed, the solar installations are expected to generate significant clean energy, reduce dependence on grid-based electricity, and lead to long-term cost savings across railway operations in the region.

Sarika Bhatia, Director at Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd., shared her thoughts on the win:
“We are delighted to have been chosen for this landmark project by the Waltair Division. This order reflects Servotech’s growing trust within the public sector and our ability to deliver high-quality solar solutions at scale. We are proud to contribute to Indian Railways’ mission of transitioning to greener and smarter operations.”

The contract strengthens Servotech’s position as a key player in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy and EV infrastructure landscape. Known for its expertise in solar energy systems and EV charging solutions, the company brings more than two decades of experience in power electronics and clean technology innovation.

Formerly known as Servotech Power Systems Ltd., Servotech recently rebranded to reflect its focused vision around sustainable energy solutions. The company is listed on the NSE and offers a range of AC and DC EV chargers, smart solar products, and integrated power management systems. With a pan-India presence, it is well-positioned to support national infrastructure missions across energy, mobility, and public transport.

This project win in Visakhapatnam is expected to act as a springboard for more collaborative opportunities with government and institutional partners. It also illustrates Servotech’s growing capabilities in executing high-impact projects that align with national clean energy goals.

As India accelerates its journey toward energy independence and low-carbon development, initiatives like these highlight the crucial role that public-private partnerships will play in shaping the country’s energy future.
