Omega Seiki’s 300 km Range E-Rickshaw Stream City NRG Breaks Industry Records

Longest-range electric three-wheeler

March 18th, 2025

In a major step forward for India’s electric mobility sector, Omega Seiki Private Limited has teamed up with Clean Electric. Together, they’ve unveiled what they claim is India’s longest-range passenger electric three-wheeler. The new ‘Omega Seiki NRG’ costs ₹3.55 lakh (ex-showroom). Most importantly, it offers an impressive 300+ kilometer range on a single charge. This could transform how commercial three-wheelers operate across India.

The companies announced the vehicle in New Delhi on March 18, 2025. The electric three-wheeler tackles one of the biggest barriers to EV adoption: range anxiety. Its 300 km range is much better than existing options. In fact, company officials state it beats the current industry best by about 25%.

“Long-range electric 3-wheelers are the need of the hour,” explained Akash Gupta, Co-Founder of Clean Electric. “Three-wheeler drivers typically cover 100-150 KM daily. During peak season, they might even drive up to 200 KM.” He highlighted how the new vehicle solves practical problems for operators who usually must recharge multiple times per day.

Game-Changing Technology for Daily Operators

The Omega Seiki NRG runs on Clean Electric’s FLO 150. This is a 15 kWh LFP battery pack with special Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) technology. As a result, the cooling system ensures reliable performance even in extreme Indian summers. Previously, hot conditions have created problems for battery-powered vehicles.

Furthermore, the vehicle comes with a 5-year or 200,000 km warranty on the battery. This gives buyers peace of mind about the most expensive part of an electric vehicle. Additionally, the NRG supports both overnight home charging and quick charging options. For instance, a 45-minute top-up at public DC stations adds another 150 km of range.

Market Impact and Future Plans

During the launch event, Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki, shared big goals. “With the Omega Seiki NRG’s impressive range of 300 kilometers on a single charge, we are confident,” said Narang. “It will meet the growing demand for high-performance, eco-friendly transport solutions.”

The company plans to deploy 5,000 Omega Seiki NRG electric passenger three-wheelers by next financial year. This shows a major production commitment that could boost broader EV adoption in India’s huge three-wheeler market.

Industry experts note that daily costs should be lower than traditional fuel-powered options. Therefore, owners might recover the higher upfront cost within 12-18 months of commercial use. This makes a strong case for both fleet operators and individual owners.

Expanding Footprint in India’s EV Landscape

Omega Seiki has been quickly growing its manufacturing capabilities. Currently, they have facilities in Delhi NCR and Pune. Moreover, they plan to establish operations in Chennai soon. The company claims to have over 250 dealerships across India. This positions them well to distribute their new flagship three-wheeler nationwide.

India aims for 30% electric vehicle penetration by 2030. In light of this goal, innovations like the Omega Seiki NRG are crucial. They make electric options viable for commercial operators who are essential for last-mile transportation in most Indian cities.

Clean Electric predicts that solutions like this could enable “more than 50% EV penetration in the 3-wheeler segment.” Consequently, the introduction of the Omega Seiki NRG may mark a turning point. Overall, it represents a significant advance in India’s shift toward sustainable urban mobility solutions.
