Over 5,000 HPCL EV Chargers Integrated into Kazam’s OCPI Platform
Kazam, India’s leading EV energy solutions provider, has announced a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) to accelerate EV charging accessibility across the country. This collaboration integrates more than 5,350 HPCL charging stations, including 3,043 DC fast chargers, onto Kazam’s OCPI-powered platform. The move enables EV users to easily locate and navigate chargers in real time, significantly enhancing the nation’s charging network.
Partnership Supports India’s PM eDrive Initiative and Decarbonization Goals
As part of the Government of India’s PM eDrive scheme, HPCL continues to strengthen its clean energy initiatives. With a network exceeding 24,000 retail fuel outlets, HPCL is rapidly developing its EV charging infrastructure to reduce transportation emissions and support India’s shift to sustainable mobility. The collaboration with Kazam reflects HPCL’s broader strategy of integrating green energy solutions across its operations while ensuring convenience for EV drivers nationwide.
Kazam’s OCPI Platform Enhances Interoperability and Reliability
Kazam’s OCPI-based platform ensures seamless data exchange, charger visibility, and interoperability between charge point operators (CPOs) and e-mobility service providers (eMSPs). It supports multiple charging protocols and provides real-time backend monitoring to ensure reliable operations. According to Kazam COO Paras Shah, the partnership will create a unified charging experience, improving scalability and convenience for users. HPCL’s Chief General Manager, Kushal Kumar Banerjee, emphasized that this alliance marks a crucial milestone in promoting clean, accessible, and connected EV infrastructure.
