iGowise and Patnaik Energy Group Launch 5,000 Portable EV Power Banks with $1M Seed Funding

Greaves Electric Mobility

iGowise and Patnaik Energy

iGowise, a deep-tech mobility startup, has partnered with Patnaik Energy Group to deploy 5,000 portable power banks for electric vehicles and other applications. The initiative has secured $1 million in seed funding and will initially target Hyderabad and Bangalore, with deployment planned over the next 24 months in high-rise residential buildings and commercial zones.

The portable power banks will support multiple applications, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, small electric cars, drones, electric farm equipment, and wilderness lighting solutions. Users can access these services through mobile applications or scan-and-use facilities, with both lease-based and pay-per-use “Energy as a Service” models available.

These units feature cutting-edge technology, including AIS-156 compliance, advanced battery chemistries (LFP, LMFP, and LTO), AI-powered battery management systems, and advanced cooling systems. The compact, wheeled power banks can be mounted on iGo electric trikes or other three-wheelers for deployment in various locations where traditional charging infrastructure is unavailable.

“At iGo, we strongly believe we have to build tailored solutions for our own contextual needs,” said Sravan Kumar, CEO of iGowise. “iGo’s smart tilting trikes are uniquely positioned to offer the high payload capacity needed to carry these power banks without compromising on speed or safety. These simple yet impactful solutions will cater to the entire ecosystem.”

Sambit Patnaik, Founder & Director of Patnaik Energy Group, added: “Having pioneered battery swap via delivery with RapidE Power, we now take the next step to cater to EVs with fixed batteries. With these portable power banks, we look forward to developing an innovative product for EVs, drone management, remote research, and adventure sectors.”

The partnership aims to deploy 1,000 units in the first year across two cities. Following the initial domestic market focus, the companies plan to expand internationally by establishing strategic relationships with major EV manufacturers, logistics brands, and last-mile operators to enable fast and portable charging solutions worldwide.
