Strategic Collaboration for Advanced E-Fluid Solutions
Automotive component major Gabriel India Ltd., part of the Anand Group, has partnered with SK Enmove, a subsidiary of South Korea’s SK Group, to co-develop next-generation lubricants designed specifically for electric vehicles. The collaboration marks a key milestone in India’s transition toward electrified mobility, targeting the development of thermal management and driveline fluids optimized for local operating conditions.
Combining Global Expertise with Local Manufacturing
Under the partnership, Gabriel India will bring its strong domestic manufacturing base and deep automotive market insight, while SK Enmove contributes cutting-edge R&D expertise in lubricant formulation and e-fluid technology. Together, they aim to engineer fluids that enhance battery cooling, motor lubrication, and component longevity—critical areas for performance and safety in EVs.
Supporting India’s Expanding EV Ecosystem
India’s electric vehicle industry is witnessing accelerated growth across two-wheelers, passenger vehicles, and commercial fleets. As the sector expands, the demand for specialized EV lubricants—distinct from traditional engine oils—has surged. The Gabriel–SK Enmove alliance will focus on localized solutions that ensure optimal efficiency and thermal stability under Indian climatic conditions, supporting OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in meeting global EV standards.
Driving Innovation and Sustainability in Mobility Fluids
This partnership also aligns with India’s Make in India and sustainability goals by promoting domestic R&D and reducing dependence on imported e-fluids. By combining Gabriel India’s production scale with SK Enmove’s innovation capabilities, the collaboration seeks to set new benchmarks for performance, durability, and environmental compliance in the emerging EV lubricant category.
