TVS Motor Company has appointed Peyman Kargar as Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 27, 2027. He will succeed Radhakrishnan K N, who will continue as CEO until the transition and then serve as a non-executive director until the company’s AGM in July 2027.

A Global Leader Takes Charge

Kargar currently serves as President of International Business at TVS Motor and brings more than three decades of automotive experience across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. His expertise spans:

  • Product development and R&D
  • Manufacturing and quality
  • Sales and marketing
  • International business strategy

International Markets in Focus

The leadership transition comes as overseas markets become increasingly important for TVS Motor. International operations now account for 29% of sales volumes and are growing at 33%, highlighting the company’s expanding global footprint.

Kargar is expected to strengthen TVS Motor’s presence in international markets while driving premiumisation, technology and product innovation.

TVS Motor Builds on Record Performance

The appointment follows a strong FY2025-26, during which TVS Motor sold 5.9 million vehicles globally and achieved 30% revenue growth.

Under Kargar, the company is expected to focus on:

  • Expanding into developed markets
  • Strengthening its Indian operations
  • Accelerating technology and AI capabilities
  • Expanding premium motorcycle offerings
  • Driving innovation across products and mobility solutions

Leadership Transition with Global Ambitions

Under Radhakrishnan K N, TVS Motor expanded its international ambitions through its BMW Motorrad partnership, Norton Motorcycles acquisition and proposed collaboration with Hyundai Motor Company on electric three-wheelers and micro-mobility.

Kargar’s appointment therefore represents more than a leadership change—it signals TVS Motor’s next growth chapter, with global expansion, premiumisation and technology at its core.
