Komaki strengthens manufacturing footprint in Gurugram
Indian electric vehicle manufacturer Komaki Electric Vehicle has inaugurated its second battery manufacturing facility in Gurugram.
The facility has been developed with an investment of ₹30 crore, reflecting the company’s continued focus on strengthening its production infrastructure and supporting its expanding electric vehicle lineup.
Investment aimed at supporting rising EV demand
With India witnessing increasing demand for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers, the new plant is expected to significantly enhance Komaki’s battery production capacity.
The additional manufacturing infrastructure will also help improve supply chain efficiency and ensure timely delivery of battery packs to support vehicle production.
Localisation driving cost and efficiency benefits
Domestic battery manufacturing is becoming increasingly important as EV adoption accelerates across India.
By expanding its manufacturing capabilities, Komaki Electric Vehicle aims to strengthen localisation efforts, reduce reliance on imports, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Battery expansion supports India’s EV growth
As the EV ecosystem evolves, battery production remains a core element of the value chain. Investments in new manufacturing facilities like Komaki’s Gurugram plant play a vital role in building a resilient and scalable EV supply ecosystem across India.
