Servotech and LESSzwei Collaborate to Launch Solar-Powered EV Charging in Germany

Solar-powered micromobility charging in Germany

December 9, 2024 | New Delhi

Servotech Power Systems, a leading EV charger manufacturer from India, has partnered with Germany-based LESSzwei GmbH (LESS2) to develop and deploy a 100% solar-powered EV charging infrastructure. The project, named “EnerMAAS”, aims to support micromobility solutions such as e-bikes, e-scooters, and e-cargo bikes in urban areas of Germany.

About the EnerMAAS Project

EnerMAAS focuses on creating a sustainable and scalable charging ecosystem using solar power and AI-driven energy management systems.

Key Features:

  • Self-Sufficient Charging: Stations will operate entirely on solar power, offering 24/7 fast and reliable charging.
  • Capacity: Each station can charge 4 two-wheelers simultaneously with a total output of 3.3 kW.
  • Sustainability: By transforming existing photovoltaic systems and energy storage into innovative BIKE-Ports, the project minimizes environmental impact.

Deployment and Reach

  • Initial Phase: Servotech will manufacture and supply the first 100 systems.
  • Coverage: Two stations will be installed in 50 cities across Germany, making sustainable charging accessible in key urban areas.
  • Support: The project has received grant financing from Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
