Olectra Greentech Limited has appointed Dr. Allabaksh Naikodi as Head – EV Systems, strengthening its capabilities in electric powertrain engineering and battery system integration. The leadership move reflects Olectra’s focus on advancing EV technology across its product portfolio, particularly in electric buses and large-format mobility solutions.

Dr. Naikodi is widely recognised as one of India’s foremost EV experts. His experience spans the end-to-end design and development of critical EV components, including eDrives, chargers, advanced battery management systems (BMS), and battery packs across two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger cars, and buses.

Proven Track Record in EV Power Electronics

Dr. Naikodi received the highest innovation award at the Mahindra Group for designing an EV powertrain with best-in-class efficiency. He holds 12 patents in EV technologies, underlining his contributions to power electronics and system optimisation.

His professional journey includes serving as CTO at JLNPhenix Energy and holding senior leadership roles such as Head of EV at Royal Enfield, Head of R&D (Electrical and Electronics) at Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited, and Lead Architect at Schneider Electric. Earlier in his career, he worked with Tech Mahindra, Satyam Computer Services, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, HBL Nife Power Systems, ABB Inc., and others.

Policy Influence and Academic Excellence

Beyond corporate leadership, Dr. Naikodi plays a significant role in shaping India’s EV ecosystem. He serves as a Member of the National EV Steering Committee and Chairman of the EV Project Review Committee for the Government of India.

Academically, he is a gold medalist from PDA College of Engineering and holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. His appointment underscores Olectra’s intent to enhance technical depth and accelerate innovation in India’s rapidly evolving electric mobility sector.
