Electric 2-wheelers:

  • 1% motor vehicle tax for first 15,000 e-2Ws / total e-2Ws in 5 years, whichever less
  • Registration fees exemption for 22,500 e-2Ws or total e-2Ws in 5 years, whichever less
  • 100% waiver in parking charges at all Urban Local Body parking stations for 5 years

Shared E-rickshaws:

  • 1% motor vehicle tax for first 5,000 e-rickshaw / total e-rickshaws in 5 years, whichever less
  • Exemption of vehicle registration fees for 7,500 shared e-rickshaw / total e-rickshaws in 5 years, whichever less
  • Exemption from permit requirement for first 5,000 e-rickshaws / total e-rickshaws in 5 years, whichever less 100% waiver in parking charges at all Urban Local Body parking stations for 5 years

Electric auto rickshaws:

  • 1% motor vehicle tax for first 5,000 e-auto rickshaw / total e-auto rickshaw in 5 years, whichever less
  • Exemption of vehicle registration fees for 7,500 EV auto rickshaw / total EV auto rickshaw in 5 years, whichever less
  • Exemption from permit requirement for first 5,000 e-rickshaws / total e-rickshaws in 5 years, whichever less

Electric goods carrier

  • 1% motor vehicle tax for first 2,000 e-3W goods carrier / total e-3W goods carrier in 5 years, whichever less
  • Exemption of vehicle registration fees for 3,000 e-3W goods carrier / total e-3W goods carrier in 5 years, whichever less
  • 100% waiver in parking charges at all Urban Local Body run parking stations for 5 years

Electric Cars

  • 1% motor vehicle tax for first 6,000 e-cars / total e-cars in 5 years, whichever less
  • Exemption of vehicle registration fees for 9,000 e-cars / total e-cars in 5 years, whichever less
  • 100% waiver in parking charges at all Urban Local Body parking stations for 5 years

Electric buses

  • 1% motor vehicle tax for first 1,500 e- buses / total e-buses in 5 years, whichever less
  • Exemption of vehicle registration fees for 2,250 e-buses/ total e-buses in 5 years, whichever less
  • Exemption from permit requirement for first 1,500 e-buses / total e-buses in 5 years, whichever less

  • To promote the manufacturing of EV and its components in Madhya Pradesh, the Government shall provide the marginally increased incentives including land concessions and FAR relaxation with respect to the incentives that are already been sanctioned under Industrial Promotion Policy 2010.
  • EV manufacturing units shall be eligible for R&D grants including subsidy on stipend for research scholars who do quality research in electric mobility and its components, patent registration and quality certification in line with the Industrial Promotion Policy (with amendments).

  • Small Charging Stations: On Chargers: Capital Subsidy of 25% of the value of the charging equipment/machinery for first 300 charging stations upto a Maximum subsidy of INR1,50,000.
  • Medium Charging Stations: On Chargers: Capital Subsidy of 25% of the value of the charging equipment/machinery for first 100 stations upto a Maximum subsidy of INR2,00,000.
  • Large Charging Stations: On Chargers: Capital Subsidy of 25% of the value of the charging equipment/machinery for first 100 stations upto a Maximum subsidy of INR10,00,000.
  • Public charging station must have battery swapping facilities. Swapping stations in the form of a kiosk to service e-2Ws and e-3Ws
  • Government will identify land for setting up public charging stations and swapping stations
  • Mandatory charging stations at all public parking spaces to be ensured by Municipal Corporations
  • Charging infrastructure at least every 50 km on highways, other major roads etc.
  • Cities of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain will be declared as model electric mobility cities
  • All Charging Stations data will be linked to a mobile application which will display up to date/real time data of Charging Stations, including location, number of available charging slots, and number of charged batteries available at the Charging Station.

  • Skill centres to be set up for capacity building
  • Introduce EV courses & train technicians and engineers of Polytechnics, Local Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), employment exchange centres and technical institutes
  • Set up Centre of Excellence with focus on improving usage and efficiency of EVs and charging equipment

  • Energy Operators and Battery Swapping Operators will operate as end of life battery recycling agencies.
  • Disposal of EV batteries in any other manner – e.g., in landfills or as scrap – will not be allowed.
  • EV batteries that cannot be re-used, either because of poor condition of the battery or lack of demand for reuse, will be sent to recycling facilities.
