Monitor battery health through the BMS: Keep an eye on your EV’s battery health, which can help you understand how different charging habits are impacting it over time.

Fast charge in moderate temperatures: Try to fast charge when the weather is neither too hot nor too cold to reduce the risk of battery stress.

So, should you stop using fast charging altogether? Not necessarily. The convenience of fast charging can’t be denied, especially when you’re on a road trip or running low on juice during a busy day. With careful use and by following the tips above, you can enjoy the benefits of fast charging without significantly hurting your EV’s battery.
EVs are designed to handle the occasional fast charge, and as technology improves, so do the safeguards that protect your battery. Fast charging is a powerful tool, but like all tools, it’s about how you use it. Balance fast charging with slower methods, and your battery will reward you with long-lasting performance.
