Bentley Begins Pre-Production of Its First Electric SUV Under Beyond100+ Plan

Greaves Electric Mobility

Bentley’s First Luxury Electric SUV Takes Shape

Bentley Motors has commenced pre-series production of its first all-electric model, described as a Luxury Urban SUV, at its Crewe facility. Scheduled for a 2026 debut with deliveries in 2027, the SUV will feature 300kW ultra-fast charging, enabling 100 miles of range in around seven minutes. Global prototype testing is already underway as Bentley accelerates development under its Beyond100+ electrification roadmap.

Crewe ‘Dream Factory’ at the Core of EV Expansion

Bentley’s iconic Crewe Dream Factory is being transformed into a carbon-neutral, flexible production site for next-generation electric vehicles. The company is investing heavily in a new paint shop, logistics hub, and design centre to support EV output. This marks Bentley’s largest self-funded investment, safeguarding over 4,000 jobs and aligning with its long-term sustainability goals.

Continued Hybrid and ICE Strategy Until 2035

While transitioning toward electric mobility, Bentley will continue producing hybrid variants of the Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur until at least 2035, adapting to market dynamics. The company also plans to launch a limited-run non-hybrid performance model by late 2025, preserving its performance heritage even as it shifts toward electrification.

Luxury Meets Electrification

The upcoming electric Bentley is designed to merge British craftsmanship with advanced EV performance, bridging tradition and innovation. As the global luxury market pivots to electric mobility, Bentley’s approach reflects a measured transition — balancing sustainability, customer choice, and performance excellence.
